Technology Enabled Care (TEC) includes telehealth, telecare, telemedicine, telecoaching and self-care services that put people in control of their own health, wellbeing and support, keeping them safe, well and independent and offering them and their families peace of mind.
TEC also includes personalised sensors and apps that can support fitness, health, care and wellbeing for individuals and carers.
Other terms used to cover TEC services include digital health, health IT, eHealth, smart home technologies, artificial intelligence and internet of things.
