Helping care homes by assisting managers to calculate staffing requirements based on the needs of residents.
Person Centred Software is excited to announce that DepenSys has joined the family of products in a further expansion to its Connected Care offering.
With this acquisition, over 6,000 care homes will have the ability to provide better care through better staff assignment based on matching staff capability and capacity with residents’ needs.
DepenSys solves a very common problem for care homes which has significant impact on homes’ CQC assessments as well as the quality of care. The UK-based business was built on Rob Fawcett’s 44 years nursing, regulatory, QA and consultancy experience, supported by Angie Fawcett who has 42 years nursing, care home management, QA, and consultancy experience.
DepenSys is a unique system born from Rob’s Master’s degree study of the management of the quality of nursing care, a part of which examined the relationship between individual care needs and the staffing and skill mix required to meet those needs. Once familiar with the system, reviewing each resident’s needs takes care providers one minute on average, and a new resident’s first assessment takes five minutes.
Person Centred Software supports the social care sector to improve the lives of those living and working in social care by building solutions to solve real problems in a way that really works. Person Centred Software’s Connected Care Platform includes solutions around care planning, wellness & activities, medication management and care home operations.
As a result of bringing DepenSys into the Person Centred Software Connected Care Platform, care providers will be able to predict staffing requirements based on resident needs for the care home and ease reporting needed for care quality assessments.
Johan Jardevall, CEO at Person Centred Software says:
“The addition of DepenSys to our Connected Care platform will enable care homes to give the right care to their residents based on their needs, predict their staffing needs accurately and provide inspectors with the best possible documentation for assessing staffing needs. We’re very excited about being able to further deliver on our mission of enabling the best possible care to all our customers.”
Rob Fawcett, founder of DepenSys, says:
“After growing DepenSys to nearly 500 homes, we recognised that we needed to form a strong partnership to extend our reach into more care home businesses nationally and globally. Person Centred Software stepped in to support our vision for the product and we are confident that their acquisition sends a great signal to the industry that through integration into the Person Centred Software family our dependency and staffing tool remains a market leading solution.”
DepenSys, now owned by Person Centred Software, will continue to work with all existing customers and partners.
Customers of DepenSys will continue to use the software as is and will benefit from extended support and deeper integration into mCare and the other products making up Person Centred Software’s Connected Care Platform to take even more admin tasks off the busy schedule for care home managers.
Person Centred Software continues to solidify its position as a one-stop solution for care providers. It’s the only company offering care providers a complete Connected Care ecosystem with an unrivalled selection of best-in-class partners, raising the standard for digital solutions to the care sector beyond the traditional digital care planning system.
