Appello, the UK’s largest telecare monitoring centre, today announced the launch of a new monthly report revealing exclusive data on First Time Call Failures (FTCFs) in telecare across the UK. This is the first time such comprehensive data has been made available to the industry, providing crucial insights into the prevalence and impact of FTCFs.
FTCFs occur when a telecare alarm call fails to connect to the monitoring centre on the first attempt, potentially delaying emergency response and leaving vulnerable individuals at risk. Appello's monthly report, sourced from its monitoring centres located across the UK, which handle over 4 million telecare calls annually, offers a unique and representative view of FTCF rates across the UK.
Key features of the report:
This data is exclusive to Appello and is not available from any other provider.
"We are committed to transparency and empowering the industry with the knowledge to improve telecare services," says Craig Barlow, Managing Director. "By publishing this monthly report, we aim to enable housing and care providers to make informed decisions, drive improvements in technology, and ultimately enhance the safety of vulnerable people across the UK."
The report will be published monthly, providing ongoing insights into FTCF trends.
