The sunset of 2G and 3G networks has already started in the UK and has significant implications for housing providers offering telecare services.

Dispersed alarms, used in independent living, rely on the 2G and 3G networks to transmit an alarm to the monitoring centre when activated. As these networks are phased out, housing and care providers face challenges in ensuring the continuity and reliability of their telecare services.
