Taking Care, one of the UK’s largest digital monitoring services in the UK, has just won a bid, via Consortium Procurement’s Technology Enabled Care (TEC) framework, to become Strategic Partner to Connected Living who are part of Aster Living, working collaboratively with them to reach a wider audience and providing 24/7 emergency response services to Connected Living and Aster Living customers.
Taking Care is a subsidiary of AXA Health and provides around the clock Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services to over 75,000 people throughout the UK. The business has a 35-year heritage of delivering TEC services. Taking Care’s drive for innovation is supported by a strong focus on the public/housing authority market and this three-year contract with Connected Living will see Taking Care closer to realising a five year strategy to more than double the number of housing association/local authority connections they support.
Steve Gates, Managing Director at Taking Care said:
“We’re excited about our partnership with Aster Living. This partnership is absolutely in line with our vision as an organisation and allows us to further demonstrate how, by working together, we can enable people to live independently for as long as possible.”
Connected Living and The Aster Group help people to live their lives independently by providing technology enable care and enhanced housing management services to over 20,000 older, vulnerable or disabled customers. Taking Care will become the strategic Technology enabled care and Telehealth monitoring partner to Connected Living, with Connected Living transferring existing and future connections to them in coming weeks.
As part of AXA Health, the second largest private health provider in the UK, Taking Care has access to a range of health insights and data-analysis opportunities that are out of reach to other telecare providers. This will provide a joint focus on helping Aster Living to support customers in the “here and now” combined with the horizon-scanning activities that are so important to ensuring their future health needs can be met too.
Kerry Appleton, Operations and Contract Lead at Aster Group said:
“We are delighted to be working with Taking Care, enabling us to continue to deliver quality services to our customers”.
Taking Care, a subsidiary of AXA Health, has been providing technology enabled care services for more than 30 years. Since 2008 alone, we have helped 170,000 people stay safe in their homes, supporting customers and their families across the UK.
As a collaborative partner, we ensure Technology Enabled Care (TEC) secures positive outcomes for people, supporting them to live healthy and independent lives whilst reducing the demand on supported services.
Our shared ethos is one of the reasons that partners choose to work with us. The nature of our service and the fact that it is provided when customers are at their most vulnerable, gives us a strong focus. Everyone in our business plays their part in delivering personalised contact, with high levels of empathy.
Taking Care blend technology with a human response along with the highest possible levels of security and 24/7 resilience. We are one of the UK’s largest providers of monitoring services in the UK and this is testament to our commitment to customer service.
With in-house healthcare expertise we can facilitate our service evolution – ensuring innovative developments of new customer propositions to complement existing offerings and enhance the depth of customer offer and benefits.
